A painting company that lives where it works.

Gambino Paint LLC paints homes and businesses across Summit County and the I-70 corridor, from Summit County, Colorado. The owner is on the job, the crew is small, and the standards do not change with the size of the house.

What every job gets.

Prep first
Wash, scrape, sand, caulk, patch and prime before a drop of finish goes on. It is most of the hours and all of the difference.
The right product
Elevation-rated paints and stains that handle the sun up here, in the sheen that fits the surface, never whatever was on sale.
A written price
A flat number and a scope you can read, before work starts. It does not change unless you change the job.
A clean site
Plants and decks covered, tools put away, and nothing left behind at the end of each day but the paint.
A walk at the end
You walk the job with us, point at anything, and we fix it before we call it done.
Straight talk
If a wall needs another season to weather or a repair before it is worth painting, we say so and come back when it is.

The mountain is hard on paint.

A coat that lasts twelve years in Denver can go in four up here. The difference is almost never the paint. It is the prep under it.

Ultraviolet
About a third stronger at 9,000 feet than at sea level. It chalks and fades a coat that would last years down the hill.
Freeze and thaw
Most nights from October to May. Water gets behind paint that was put over unprimed wood and lifts it off by spring.
The season
Exterior work needs nights above about 40 degrees, so the window is short. We book it early and prep in the shoulder weeks.

We're up here too.

Gambino Paint LLC is based in Summit County, Colorado and works across Summit County and the I-70 corridor. We know which walls face the afternoon sun, what the plow does to a fence line, and that a good exterior season is about fourteen weeks long.
